Chairman’s message

Dear friends,
Although by profession I am a paediatrician who spent most of my working life in
England, I have always wanted to do something useful and worthwhile for my
country, in the place I grew up, for the people who live there. As the area of pain and
palliative care is close to my heart, I wanted to initiate some work in this area. I was
encouraged to start the service called Pallium, here in Kulasekharam, after having
witnessed two of my very dear friends succumb mercilessly to cancer. In my efforts to
do whatever little I can in this regard, however small it may be, can I hope and be
assured that I have the full support and co-operation of each one of you to move
forward with this well-worthy cause? I would like to stop with a sincere request and
prayer It would provide me immense strength to know that each and every one of you
will be with me all the way on this venture.
From one among you,
Sukumaran
